We are NOT Lazy!

Despite what adults would like to think, we teens aren't lazy. We have responsibilities too. Even though our parent's like to think that all we have to worry about is school, that is untrue. Even if all we had to worry about was school, it is still a pretty big thing to worry about.

We have alot of things going on at once: school, friends, relationships, jobs, peer pressure, getting into college, teachers, family life, money... the list goes on.

A typical day in the life of a teenager goes a little like this:
  1. Wake up and get ready for school
  2. Go to school
  3. Sit in a chair for 8 hours and try to concentrate on what the teacher is saying when all you want to do is go home
  4. Keep up appearances at school and maintain a social life
  5. Go home
  6. Do homework and study
  7. Deal with family and try to get along with parents and siblings
  8. Try to have a social life
  9. Go to bed at a decent hour so that you can get up and do the same thing all over again the next day.

It isn't like we lay around all day long. We are always worrying about doing our best in school so that we can get into a good college. We know that if we want to have a good job later in life, we have to get an education after high school. So, we have to do well in school. We come home after 8 hours of studying, only to keep studying for a few more hours.

That's a lot to do. Sure, we like to lay around on the weekends, but that doesn't mean we are lazy. That means we are relaxing after 5 long 8+ hour days of sitting in a chair and trying to learn everything.
